Poor mental health diagnoses will be on the rise in the first quarter of the twenty-first century. There seems to be a new report, statistic, or warning about Amercia’s "silent" mental health problem at every turn.  Throughout the last decade, governments around the globe continue to look for answers on how to solve the mental health crisis. 


As indicated by worrisome statistics, mental health is a big concern in the United States. When we consider the fact that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that 1 in 5 adults experience at least one mental health condition every year, it’s hard to deny that we need to be making mental health awareness more of a priority.


The challenge is that there is a stigma attached to mental health.  While the U.S has made tremendous strides to address the problem, it continues to be a main talking point for politicians.  We have to acknowledge that good mental health efforts and work continue th happen to overcome barriers.

You don’t need to have everything figured out.  What’s important is that you work towards these goals.  Even if you aren’t sure where to begin, there are people ready to help you achieve them.  It takes courage and determination to get on track with your mental health.


How to Get Help for Mental Health


There are several mental health problems, some of which are more prevalent than others. Anxiety disorders are the most common mental health conditions in the United States, according to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America.


Common mental health conditions include:


  • Anxiety
  • Panid Disorder
  • Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Eating disorders
  • Obessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
  • Depression


They can all be treated.  The first step is to ask for help.  Asking for help, is a sign of courage.  A benefit of focusing on mental health is that you can discover and understand the signs of mental health conditions.  The earlier you begin the treatment, the more liekly you’ll be able to improve your mental health.


You can find resources online such as online counseling or psychiatric care that will help you recover.  Counseling used to be hard to fit into your busy  schedule. It isn’t the same now.
 In the comfort your home or somewhere private, you can receive the counseling you need.
